You Were Created to Flourish within God’s Rhythms.

Dear Friends,

Pausing with intention can be an invitation to spiritual rest in a changing season.

September carries a sense of transition. Summer begins to give way to fall. Schedules shift. The days gradually shorten. Creation itself reminds us that God established rhythms, cycles, and seasons — times for growth and fruitfulness, and times for slowing, releasing, and rest.

We were created to live within these rhythms, too.

Yet so often, we resist them. We keep pushing when our souls need to pause, striving when God is inviting us to receive, moving at a pace we were never designed to sustain. Living outside God's rhythms can feel a little like swimming against the current — exhausting ourselves trying to maintain a pace grace never asked us to keep.

Spiritual rest invites us to stop swimming against the current and return to the One who sustains us.

Jesus offers this invitation so tenderly:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” - Matthew 11:28

Sometimes the most sacred thing we can do is pause with intention — not because everything is finished or all the answers have come, but because our souls need space to remember who God is and who we are in Him.

Spiritual rest may look like silence before the Lord. A slow walk with no agenda. Worship. A whispered prayer between tasks. Time in nature to experience the awe and wonder of creation and remember that you are part of something bigger than yourself. A few moments with Scripture, not to accomplish something, but simply to be present with God.

As we enter this new season, perhaps the invitation isn't to do more, but to notice the rhythms God is inviting us into.

Slow down. Listen. Receive.
Make space to be present with God.

This reflection is an invitation to notice where you may be striving against the rhythms God has established — and where He may be inviting you into greater rest.

Take a quiet moment and consider:

  1. Where am I experiencing spiritual weariness or striving right now?

  2. What rhythms help me become more aware of God's presence?

  3. Where might God be inviting me to slow down, release, or receive in this season?

Prayer:
“Lord, thank You for being my refuge, my peace, and my place of rest. Show me where I have been striving instead of receiving and moving at a pace You never asked me to sustain. Quiet the noise within and around me, and teach me to recognize Your rhythms of work and rest, pouring out and receiving. As I enter this new season, help me slow down, listen, and make space to be present with You. Keep me rooted in You so that my life may flourish in Your time and Your way. In Jesus' name. Amen.”

Spiritual Rest

How to Pause with Intention and Make Space for God

When life feels full and your soul feels tired, spiritual rest creates space to quiet the noise, become more aware of God’s presence, and be renewed from the inside out.

In this month’s blog, I’m sharing why spiritual rest is about more than simply slowing down — and how intentional rhythms of stillness, worship, prayer, Scripture, and time in creation can help restore what a hurried life quietly depletes.

I’d love for you to join me there.

You’re invited to read the blog for a deeper look at Spiritual Rest — and simple, meaningful ways to nurture your spiritual wellbeing so you can live with greater peace, clarity, joy, and authenticity.

Flourish Product Spotlight: HerCore Essentials

Supporting Your Body’s Wellbeing

This month’s spotlight features HerCore Essentials for women who want to nourish their wellbeing with greater intention. Support created for every stage of woman's life: Prenatal, CycleSupport and MenoSupport.

As a woman in the middle season of life, I love the MenoSupport and Flora Complete! These two products have been game-changers for me.

In all transparency, I’ve also learned firsthand how difficult this season can be when your body is changing and you don’t understand why. I now have a deeper understanding of something we simply don’t talk about enough: the changes women experience during menopause can affect so many aspects of our wellbeing — and navigating them can feel incredibly isolating and confusing.

I’ve also discovered that we have more resources and choices available to us than we may realize — helping us navigate this season with greater understanding, support, and the opportunity to truly flourish in it.

Caring for your body is part of caring for your whole self. When we listen to what our bodies are communicating and support our wellbeing with intention, we create greater capacity for the peace, presence, and rhythms that help us flourish.

A Simple Spiritual Rest Practice: The Sacred Pause

This month, try building a Sacred Pause into your day.

Choose one small moment — maybe first thing in the morning, before lunch, or at the end of the day — and give yourself just 3–5 minutes to stop. Sit quietly. Take a few deep breaths. Place your hand over your heart, if that feels grounding. Then simply pray:

“Here I am, Lord.”

You do not need a perfect quiet time. You do not need long stretches of uninterrupted silence. You only need a willing moment to turn your attention back to God.

This kind of intentional pause can help calm the nervous system, soften inner tension, and create space to reconnect spiritually in the middle of everyday life.

 An Invitation to Step Away...

ROOTED & RENEWED

A Flourish Women's Retreat

Establishing sacred rhythms of rest for a flourishing life.

Rest. Receive. Restore.

Imagine stepping away for four days...

Letting go of the constant demands, distractions, rushing, and pressure to keep doing. Waking without rushing into a full schedule. Breathing deeply in a beautiful setting. Spending unhurried time with God. Connecting authentically with other women — and having the freedom to simply be.

This is the heart behind Rooted & Renewed. I created this intentionally intimate retreat for women who are ready for more than simply being told they need to “rest more.” We need opportunities to actually experience rest.
