Dear Friends,
It feels like I blinked and in an instant spring became July 4th celebrations! You too? After we returned home from our summer vacation to soak in Florida sunshine and surf, I was graciously invited by Maureen Huntley to share a bit of my story, From Pain to Purpose on the Family Balancing Act Podcast.

When I was about thirteen my father gave me silver necklace with a medallion in the shape of star. Inscripted in the star were the words, Turn Your Scars Into Stars. At that tender age in my life, I was carrying deep emotional wounds, which had left scars on my heart. The message on the necklace was one of hope. I realized that I had a choice in how I responded to things in my life beyond my control.
