Dear Friends,
As the summer season begins to give way to fall and school starts back, what are some ways that you can simplify your life? Is it order in your home? Margin in your schedule? More connection and interaction with your loved ones? Saying, "no" to good so you can say, "yes" to best?
There was a time when my schedule was so crammed packed it looked like an overstuffed suitcase, bulging at the seams with clothing hanging out! As a result, my life was unmanageable. I felt like I was constantly in a hurry and being pulled in multiple directions. I'm a passionate person with a lot of interests and I found it hard to say, "no" when excitement or fear of missing out played strong with my emotions. It was through working with a Life Coach that I was able to get clear on my values, priorities, and purpose, and therefore, time and schedule. What I found is that structure and simplicity are the wings of freedom.
Experiencing more joy comes as a result of not being weighed down by stress, pressure, and anxiety. Scheduling in rest days, play days, time with loved ones, and activities that feed your soul are just as important as work and day-to-day responsibilities. What are some of your favorite summer activities? Mine are swimming, hiking, SUP and camping. Have you taken time for some of your favorite activities this season? What would it look like to plan some time to before summer fades away?
One of the greatest barriers that I see as a Life Coach that keeps people stuck and feeling anxious are deep emotional wounds caused by trauma. Greater joy and genuine freedom are on the other side of healing.

Steps to Identify and Heal Trauma
Life is stressful. No one these days is untouched by trauma.
You might be surprised to learn that trauma is not an event. Although it might occur around an event, it is not about the event. Trauma is the experience your body had going through the event, or through a period of time.
The path to healing trauma starts with identifying where it originated and how it’s stored in the body. Learn strategies for releasing the imprint left behind after challenging experiences.
How do you know if you have trauma? What can you do to fix it? Get answers to these questions and take the next step towards your healing with this great resource from Dr. Aimie Apigan.
