Dear Friends,
This month marks a meaningful milestone - 5 years of Freedom to Flourish Life Coaching! Five years of walking alongside women in seasons of healing, growth, and becoming. Five years of sacred conversations, brave steps, and choosing courage over fear. Five years of encouraging women to flourish and live aligned in mind, body, and spirit!
This anniversary also comes with something new - a refreshed website and the unfolding of my Rhythms of Renewal Signature Coaching Journey - both born from love. Truly, love is the motivation behind everything I do.
February is often called the “month of love,” and for some it brings excitement, connection, and celebration. But for others, it can feel lonely, heavy, or emotionally tender. I understand both. In my own journey, I’ve experienced seasons where hope and vulnerability lived side by side — and over time, I learned gentle, practical ways to protect my heart and tend my emotional wellbeing. I share more of that in this month’s blog.
As I've learned and implemented the 7 Types of Rest® in my own life, what I’ve discovered both personally and professionally is this: Emotional rest matters. Love begins within. Caring for your inner world is not selfish - it’s sacred.
Emotional Rest invites us to lay down the masks we wear and the expectations we carry — creating space to be fully ourselves. It’s where healing begins, inner peace grows, and authentic living takes root.

This month’s reflection is an invitation to slow down, listen inward, and allow God to meet you right where you are.
Take a quiet moment and consider:
- Where do I feel emotionally drained right now - and what might my heart be needing?
- What would it look like to offer myself compassion instead of pressure this season?
Prayer: "Oh Loving Father, Thank You for meeting me in every season - in joy and in longing, in celebration and in quiet spaces. Help me release comparison and expectations that weigh on my heart. Teach me how to receive Your love more deeply, and how to care for myself with gentleness and grace. Restore what feels weary within me, and guide me toward emotional rest. In Jesus name, Amen."
Emotional Rest: Creating Space to Be Fully You
This month’s blog expands on Emotional Rest - what it looks like, why it matters, and how you can begin practicing it in small, meaningful ways each day. I’d love for you to join me there.

✨ You’re invited to read the blog for a deeper look at Emotional Rest - and simple, meaningful ways to nurture your emotional wellbeing so you can live with greater peace, clarity, joy, and authenticity.

A Rest Practice: Emotional Check-In
"Emotional Rest forms the foundation for authentic living and sustainable relationships." - Dr. Saundra Dalton Smith

When we’re emotionally depleted, it often shows up in subtle ways such as: people-pleasing instead of honoring our needs, saying “yes” when we really want to say “no,” wearing social masks that hide how we truly feel, or carrying others’ emotional burdens without healthy balance.
Take a quiet moment right now to check in with yourself. Which of these patterns feel a little too familiar? This gentle awareness is the first step toward emotional restoration.
Try This Simple Emotional Rest Practice:
Pause. Place one hand on your heart. Take three slow, steady breaths.
Then ask yourself:
- What am I feeling right now?
- What do I need in this moment?
No fixing. No judging. Just noticing.
Learning healthy ways to acknowledge and process our emotions is essential for overall wellbeing, and even small moments of presence like this can begin to release stored tension and invite peace back into your body and soul.
Flourish Product Spotlight: Body Care for Winter
Flourish from Within 🌱
Cold weather can be especially drying, making gentle, nourishing body care an important part of winter wellbeing.

Two of my winter essentials are Arbonne Shea Butter Body Wash and Body Lotion (as well as the Hand Wash & Lotion), along with the Shea Butter Hand Cream (which lives in my purse and makes a thoughtful gift) - products I personally use and love. They leave my skin feeling soft, deeply moisturized, and cared for, even during the coldest months.
If you’re looking to support your skin through winter, you can explore these on my Arbonne website. And as always, I’m happy to help you choose what’s best for your needs - just reach out. Jen Stone - Sexton | Arbonne
